These pants are crafted from 15 oz. selvedge back satin fabric, meticulously woven in Japan with a high-density weave and dyed a rich black. Unlike the usual shiny back satin typically woven with fine yarns, Samurai uses thick, uneven yarns for a distinctive, tactile feel. At 15 oz. per square yard, they might be considered lightweight by Samurai's standards, but don't be fooled—this fabric still has that substantial, crispy feel that sets them apart from typical fatigue pants. Just like with the olive version, the heavy back satin will initially feel stiff, but with wear, it softens beautifully, developing a rich patina and an effortless drape.
