ALL SALES ARE FINAL
During World War II, the Red Cross called for people on the home front to send hand-knitted scarves and knit caps as comfort gifts to husbands, lovers, fathers, and all U.S. soldiers on the front lines.
The knits, filled with the thoughts of people praying for their safety, must have been softer and warmer than the issued goods.
This watch cap reproduces the texture of Red Cross knits with British Shetland wool.
