13oz Black Denim Jacket 1953 Model

This is a 1953 model from the transitional period when denim jackets were changing from workwear to casual wear. It is commonly known as the 2nd. This classic piece, which represents the 1950s, is made from black denim.

It is not the kind of "dyed black due to dirt" that is sometimes seen in vintage clothing, nor is it black denim with a white weft thread; it is original black denim with black warp and weft threads. It is a 13-ounce selvedge denim woven with uneven yarns of 7 vertical and 7 horizontal threads, and the selvedge is white and red. In addition, sulfur dyes are used for the black dye, and it shows a deep color fade with age due to wear.
