Inspired by old Japanese fabrics from the early Showa period, this item uses 6.9 oz. ikat fabric dyed with indigo. Two colors of yarn, ecru and green, are dyed with unevenness at different pitches and carefully woven on a power loom using the two threads for the warp and weft. The style is a basic 1950s American-made three-needle rolled stitch work shirt, with elegant brown mother-of-pearl cat's eye buttons on the front.
